HAL Heritage Center & Aerospace Museum, Bangalore

HAL stands for "Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd".

This museum is built and maintained by them to show the public the road they have taken from 1940. It was started as a private company under the guidance of the Maharaja of Mysore. Later it was acquired by the government and is now a central government entity.

It is a well maintained place and a must visit place if you have kids.

The place might motivate the kids to fly.

The museum had two halls and few airplane models. The first hall had a collection of photos starting from the early days of the institute. The black and white photos were so mesmerizing. The photos were organised by years. They were mostly photos of the aircrafts made here and famous personalities visiting them. Here are a few interesting photos among them.

The museum hosted a lot of models of the airplanes. Here are a few.

The place was so green and aesthetic.

There were life size models as well.

Loved the message boards around.

The garden had some beautiful flowers.

And at last the second building contained the simulation unit and the control tower. I had plans of trying the simulation unit. But when I was there, it was only tried by kids. So as an adult I felt embarrassed ti try it. :-P

Here are a few photos from Hall -2

I must also mention the PSLVs and GSLV models.
